NO ORDINARY LIFE – THE EXCITING AND CHALLANGING REALITY OF BEING A TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY CHRISTIAN BY CAROL J KELSO
This book by Carol Kelso “No Ordinary Life” – is a warm and conversational in style. It is easy to read and straight talking and shares on the writers heart warming personal testimony and the challenges she faces living out her faith in todays society. She coherently articulates why she believes in God and the case for Him in a highly secular world and how her life changed for the better when she began to believe He existed.
This book is an encouraging and inspiring read and below are some reviews. Here you can see a preview, share and buy a copy of this book.
“I bought this book a few months back for my Kindle and I am glad I did. Kelso has a great gift for getting the Christian message across in a very clear and engaging manner. It is refreshing the way she references respected modern thinkers like CS Lewis and Viktor Frankl in her arguments for Christianity.
In many ways, her prose reminds me of a modern Caryll Houselander. She is steadfast and strong in her faith but she also has an understanding and empathy for human weakness and how difficult it can be to live a Christian life in the modern World. However, she conveys with wonderful clarity the great joy to be found when a person truly finds a relationship with Christ.
I would recommend the book for anyone on their Christian journey or, indeed, for anyone who is going through a period of disillusionment and wants to look outside themselves for a greater sense of purpose and meaning. The premise of the book is simple – “God exists or he doesn’t. And if he does, what are the implications for your life?”
“Loved this searingly honest account of a woman’s realisation of who she is and what her life is for. Big thoughts broken down into easily understood pieces. The honesty and reality of what it means to be a Christian in the 21st century. Encouraging and enlightening”. “Enjoyed every minute of reading this book. Its been a long time since a book stirred so many emotions about my own faith and gave me a lot to think about!! I could easily relate to Carol and her lovely way of sharing her journey with us is so inspiring, non-judgemental and very brave. Its a book that could be life changing for its readers”.
“I so enjoyed this book as it was such an honest and unpretentious account of how it feels to be an out and out unapologetic Christian in today’s secular society. Without being self righteous or martyrish Carol describes her ongoing journey and relationship with God and how it gives her strength and courage every day. I really enjoyed how she brought in the scriptures as a relevant reference and source of wisdom and power that is accessible to us all. This book made me feel it is okay to be a person of faith (warts and all). To trust in God and love life. I would highly recommend”.
